Welcome to Kilmacthomas Health Centre
Welcome to Kilmacthomas Health Centre, home to the family practice of Doctors Sean McElduff, Ellen Hayes and Emily Norris.
Our practice is built around providing personal, compassionate and high-quality medical care to our local community. We believe in traditional family medicine, where patients have easy and prompt access to the doctor of their choice and are given the time and attention they need.
We are delighted to have Ellen Hayes join the practice, bringing a fresh perspective and a modern approach to complement the experience and continuity of care already established within the practice.
Our approach is grounded in rational, evidence-based medicine, while always recognising the importance of listening to our patients and treating each person with care, respect and understanding.

Our Team
Dr Sean McElduff
Sean qualified in 1987 at UCD. He joined the practice in 1997 after returning from Scotland where he worked as a GP. His clinical areas of interest are general medicine, sports medicine and terminal care. In his spare time he enjoys gardening cycling and outdoor pursuits.
Dr Ellen Hayes
Ellen graduated from the University of Leicester in 2010 and was awarded membership of the Irish College of General Practitioners in 2018. Ellen has completed a diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, a diploma in diabetes and holds certificates in contraception and Long Acting Reversible Contraception.
Dr Emily Norris
Emily graduated form UCC in 2008 and completed her GP training here in the South East. She has a Diploma in Women's Health and has Certificates in Contraception, LARC and Palliative Care from the ICGP. Her special interests include Contraception and Women's Health.
Mary Egan
Mary has a wealth of experience in the demanding field of Emergency Department Nursing as well as spending some years in Practice Nursing and as a dermatology nurse.
Patricia Leonard
Trish has been our senior practice nurse since returning to her native Ballyvoile in Stradbally to join us in 1999 having returned from Kent already an experienced practice nurse in the UK ,and from the outset brought to the practice high and unswerving standards of knowledge, organisation and efficiency in nursing care.
